The original Black Horse Public House was demolished and the site redeveloped to provide a mix of retail and residential. The developer was Milford Homes based in Croydon. CRL Facades was employed by Milford to complete the facade finishes.

Scope of Works:

• Lightweight render to the structures frame
• Installation of an External Wall Insulated render with a white finish to the structures facade

The new building was constructed entirely of concrete with an insulated render system as an over cladding. The new frame was not within the specified tolerances so CRL Facades proposed a lightweight render system prior to the facade installation. The innovative lightweight render provided significant savings in time and money over traditional ‘dubbing out’ solutions.

On top of the render CRL Facades installed an external wall insulation system with a white render finish which was supplied by Wetherby Building Systems.
